So its been a *while* since we’ve updated the site here, and we’re back with a FREE theme for the 9650.
DreW21 was designed by D.R.E.W. and it features 7 mini OS6 icons, Hidden Dock & Today, Weather Slot on the home screen and a ton of other customizations on the other screens.
From the designer:
7 mini customizable Home Screen Icons.
- Hidden Dock
- Hidden Today.
- Scrolling down from any icon hides the dock & gives you access to the Weather slot.
- Weather Slot is icon 1 on the Application Menu (as shown in screen capture 3).
- Weather Application displayed is the full version of “BeWeather”, use what ever you want.
- Access to the Sound Profiles is right of icon 7.
- Shortcut “$” opens Sound Profiles.
- Shortcut “y” opens SMS/MMS.
- 3D Unread notification & message icons
- 3D buttons and menus.
- Transparent menus.
I’m using a 9650/5.0.0.732.
Made in Theme Builder 5.0 using the 9700 template.
*If you choose to have this theme customized, I can not give you the OS6 icons. I did not buy the “Commercial License Agreement” to allow me to use them for profit. Anyone who is doing so is stealing from their creator Big Papa.

Every once in a while I come across something I think would benefit our readers. Today happens to be that once in a while. New to the conference call game is Speek.com a site that does what it says. It makes calls.
Quite simply, Speek is a FREE Web-based teleconferencing system that dials out to cell phones, landlines, and voice-over-Internet applications like Skype and GoogleTalk. With Speek, your call will start on time, every time.
If the free test is any indicator, it works pretty well. You put in the your number and the number/contact info of the people you want to call, and viola, it calls them. You can contact them via phone (cell, office, home) gtalk (google talk), or skype as well as a number of other methods.
From the looks you can also schedule a call as well which is a big plus for those who need scheduled calls. I haven’t played around with all the features, and Gruntled never responded to the invite I sent to his GoogleTalk account, so I can’t comment on how that works just yet, but if you can call from cell to gtalk or skype through this for the cost of a phone call, its pretty cool.
The other nice thing is that Speek.com is looking for feedback so they want to invite you to register for private beta. Its simple. Fill out the form, import your contacts and you’re off and running on the way to conference calls. Easy Peasy.

Wow! What would thanksgiving be with out something to give thanks for? Of course, there’s family, but you deal with them on a daily basis. How about giving thanks for your Blackberry and the fact that you can CHANGE the theme on it as often as you like?
To celebrate the Thanksgiving Feast that awaits us in two days (my in-laws have already started cooking!) here are three Thanksgiving Themes (two of them based on Charlie Brown) for your crackberries.
First up, we have a Peanuts Thanksgiving theme from Daniel Black. This theme works for the 71xx, 81xx, 83xx, 87xx, and 88xx series devices and features everyone’s favorite blockhead and his lovable beagle, Snoopy. Next up is another Peanuts Theme, this one from CoolBlackBerryThemes and is a little crisper. Its good for the 8100 and the 8300/8800 devices and features Chef Snoopy on the homescreen with a good lookin bird ready to eat.
Lastly, is a Today Plus Thanksgiving theme for the 9630 (should work on any device with OS 5.0 like the 8900 or the 9700 as well). Its a simple Thanksgiving theme with out the peanuts characters by RenoCat. You can grab it OTA Here.

Two Free TOUR 9630 Themes!!

So there’s been a ton of themes released for one of the newest devices to hit the market from Rim lately, and I wanted to give you an early Friday gift of two of them…
Up first, we have the iBerry Today Plus Theme (do not confuse this with the one from bplay) by Artem Cheban. Its a nice simple theme that features, Great Wallpaper Support ( Dock Stays on Picture Change ), 2 Latest Message Items and 2 Latest Calendar Items and Bottom Homescreen Icons are customizable by user. Exactly what we’ve all come to expect in a theme and it has some nice looking icons as well. You can have this theme sent to your phone HERE
Up next is the Simple Today+ Theme by enriquenarez. This theme features several different options (depending on the one downloaded) but the main premise is simple.
