If you haven’t seen Discovery Channel’s hot gameshow CASH CAB then you must be living under a rock. Ordinary people in NYC get in what they think is a cab, only to find out they’re contestants on a game show. The cab takes them where they want to go, asking questions and awarding money the whole way. Answer correctly, keep the money, get a free cab ride. Get a wrong one and they loose the money and have to pay for the ride. Its an awesome game and the questions range from easy to mind blowing.

Now you can play CASH CAB as often as you want with out leaving your couch (desk, car, etc…). From bPlay:

Those Crazy Penguins!

So I haven’t written in over a month. Work, life and other things have gotten in the way (one reason I’m looking for others to help update the site!) but I came across this game in an email from bPlay and as I have a softspot in my heart for penguins, I had to post about it. Crazy Penguin Catapult

In Crazy Penguin, you fend off invading Polar Bears by hurling courageous penguins at them with your trusty catapult! Sounds like a lot of fun. The graphics are cool and remind me of Lemmings (remember that fun game?). You can pick up Crazy Penguin Catapult for about $6.99 @ bPlay.

I’ve been meaning to write about two of bPlay’s new offerings for the longest time now and with the 20% off coupon that arrived in my box today, I thought today would be the perfect day. Which is great for those that want to pick up the coolest Games and themes for your BlackBerry.

First is the
NYT Crosswords game that is available. For those die hard crossword fans this game is it as it allows you to play the same crossword puzzles published daily in The New York Times on your mobile phone. There are also up to 30 classic puzzles bundled in the game. It is a subscription based game (meaning you pay monthly) but its less then the cost of a paper and you get the same fun, just on your berry. Its actually a pretty cool game. This runs $2.99 a month.

The other I wanted to talk about is probably the coolest theme thats hit the berry in a while.
Solar Slideshow is almost exactly what it says. In this theme, 10 images combined of the sun and nine planets in the solar system rotate on your screen’s background. The image changes once per 30 minutes, so your device will continually look fresh with stunning celestial imagery. The imagery is amazing, the fact that it changes is something cool too. I would bet that more themes like this will be hitting the berry soon enough (could you imagine an underwater theme like this?). You can grab it from bPlay for the regular price of $5.99 but if you do it today you can use the coupon for a 20% off discount!

How sweet it is! I had a note in my inbox this morning that bPlay, everyone’s favorite Blackberry theme and game resource is now offering direct billing for AT&T, T-Mobile and Sprint subscribers. All you have to do when you check out is select the “Bill to Phone” option when checking out and VIOLA! Your download will be processed and your purchase will show up on your monthly bill.
