1/29 Free Theme Roundup

This week I have a couple of themes for you Curve and Flip Owners (the rest of you calm down, the week isn’t over yet is it?). The first is for the Curve (and of the 83xx models) and it a pretty cool looking theme from 4gezzus @ Themes4BB. Omnipresent is a Zen Sidebar theme with (what we hope are) customizable icons on the home screen. The wp is a pretty creepy looking flaming eye with some other eye catching wall papers. The other theme today is the Pink Sunburst theme for you Flip owners. This is a little theme whipped up by Tiffany over at Black Light Themes and its a pretty psychadelic theme thats along the lines of the old Windows Light speed wall paper. Except its Pink. The icons are boldish in look and feel and its also available for the curve and a couple of other models. You can grab it OTA @ BlacklightThemes.com.

1/14 Free Theme Round up

So its been a little while since I did a free theme round up, I don’t have a reason other than the fact that I’ve been a little busy lately. Sorry. Today’s round up has themes for the Bold (9000), Curve (83xx) and the Perl Flip (8220) and I think you’ll like them.

We’ll kick things off with the curve. Up for the curve today is the Twilight theme from CoolBlackberryThemes. Its a simple theme that plays on your love of Edward and all things Twilight. Simple and clean, this theme makes good use of space and images to convey your love of the dark. I haven’t had the chance to check it out fully (I can’t get my wife’s curve out of her hands long enough to..) but I have some screenshots below. You can grab it OTA.

Up next we have two fairly different themes from Michael @ BlackberryThemes.co.uk for the Filp 8220. Bliss is a tropical islandish theme with a row of customizable icons on the home screen and Pink is a crisp purplish/pink theme with two rows of icons on the homescreen. We haven’t had the chance to try these out (no flip) but you can grab them OTA at blacklightthemes.com.

Lastly, we have four *FREE* themes for the Bold. First we’re going with a free theme from Rollin @ eVeek. ONYX is a dark theme with the today feature on the homescreen as you scroll over the icons (it saves space). Well designed (as most of eveek’s themes are) and simple to use. When you scroll to the bottom hidden icons appear as well, so you get a total of 11 icons on the homescreen with out loosing too much real estate. You can grab this one OTA @ eveek.

Next for the bold are two themes from Super Loopy over at Crackberry. The first is a simple (not that themes are really simple) side theme. With the icons on the side, the home screen is wide open for other uses. One of the different thing about this theme is the location of the battery and carrier/network status. Its on the bottom. You can grab the side theme OTA. The 1/2 size icon theme gives you even more space on the home screen by using, *drum roll please* 1/2 sized icons. If your vision is perfect, this may be a theme for you. Not only that, but Super Loopy has used an awesome photo of his dog as the wallpaper. The 1/2 sized icons allow you to have 10 (yes, 10!) icons across the bottom. Hows that for using your space? Grab this one OTA Here

Lastly today, we have the “Grunge” theme from Shellbell67. The grunge theme puts a little attitude on your bold while providing all the features we’ve grown accustomed to. We haven’t had the chance to test this one yet, but we’re guessing that the icons on the home screen are customizable. You can grab this one OTA @ Shellbell67′s site.

First BlackBerry Flip Phone Available from CSL’s 1O1O & one2free in Hong Kong

Talk about a cool deal, anyone in HK looking to pick up the hottest clamshell on land is now able to get the 8220 from two providers. According to Rim:

CSL Limited (CSL) and Research In Motion (RIM) today launched the BlackBerry® Pearl™ Flip 8220 smartphone in Hong Kong, the first BlackBerry® smartphone to come in a clamshell format.

The BlackBerry Pearl Flip smartphone brings the powerful communications and multimedia features of the BlackBerry platform to flip phone fans, and is now available from CSL’s 1O1O and one2free, the leading mobile operator in Hong Kong.

Free Theme Round up

So its been a couple of days since I last posted and to make it up to you, here’s a bevy of free themes for your favorite blackberries. Some of the themes included cover the Curve, the Blackberry Flip and the Bold. Enjoy!

First up, three themes for the blackberry flip (the 82XX series). The first I want to share with you is the Sexy Flip theme available at pimpmyberry.com. The main screen has 21 customizable icons on it that apparently pulsate (or something) when scrolled over. The scroll is free (you can go up and down and left and right) and the dialog box is semitransparent. Don’t worry, you can change the fonts if you like. Also for the flip are two pretty cool looking themes called Glass Eye and Wind (I’ll let you figure out which is which). I don’t have much to go on with these two themes (as I can’t load them on the Bold) but they look really slick and the icons are nice. Next up are two themes for the 8300 series (the Curve). The first is Starry Haze and its a purplish theme with stars. Its pretty cool and would actually go good on the wife’s curve as its a little girly. The main screen has the apps icons on the left side and everything else is fairly easy to navigate. This next theme almost (I said almost) want to give my bold back for a curve. Its a super cool, kickass Super Mario theme for the curve. From the wall papers to the icons, this theme gets super mario. Pair it with a mario ring tone and you’d be set. Talk about cool. Its a bottom dock theme that works rather well. I may load this one on my wife’s phone instead… Grab it OTA @ themes4bb

Lastly are two pretty cool themes for the Bold. The first is near and dear to my heart as its based on one of the fastest growing Linux Distributions around. The Ubuntu Theme for the bold. Complete with a login screen for the locked screen. The bottom dock has a couple of cool animations that occur (such as the popup messages and calendar) when you scroll over the icons on the main page. It is a little memory hungry but if you dump some of your apps (like viigo) you should be ok to run this one. You can grab it OTA @ pimpmyberry.com. Check out the video and the images below.

The last one tonight is another theme for the bold. This is a 10 icon L theme with messages and calendar on the main screen. Its currently my theme and I keep coming back to this one. I changed the wallpaper to one of the sample images (I like the way this looks better) but its a kick ass theme all the same. As you scroll over the customizable icons on the main screen you get the application name, or in the case of weather eye, you get the temp and weather description. Its very cool.
