Sneak a peek at Blackberry OS 6.0
So I came across this gem on twitter today as I was wading through the stream… and it was too good to share. Boy Genius Report managed to snag a series of screenshots of the 6.0 OS, and boy are they good. Among the new styling are tabbed browsing and redone media player. If you want to see more of this you definitely need to head over to BGR and check out the full shots. For those who want to know a little more… They’ve apparently done more with the inbox (making facebook, twitter, email, sms all flow together better), photos layout and more. The interesting thing I noticed is that these seem to be on a touch screen device….

The Twitter app thats quickly gaining ground, Seesmic has been updated today to include a ton of new features including multiple accounts and Ping.fm support. It may just be the one to move in to the number two spot on my 9700, behind socialscope.

You can create an account on http://www.ping.fm and find more information on how to use the network on http://pingfm.pbworks.com/.
- TweetPhoto Service
- We are happy to introduce the possibility to share pictures through the TweetPhoto service. Tips to Increase the Speed of the BlackBerry Browser
Jan 5, 2010 Berry, Hack, Tips & Tricks
There are a few things that you can do to significantly increase the speed of the BlackBerry Browser.
1. Turn Off Show Images: Downloading images takes a lot of bandwidth, and strains your BlackBerry when loading them. From the Browser Options –> Browser Configuration screen, set Show Images = no, and uncheck “Use Background Images”.
Note: You can easily download the images for any page by pressing “M” for more images, or “Q” for all images. These options are also available from the menu.
2. Turn Off JavaScript Support: Some JavaScripts are very large and can’t be processed by your BlackBerry anyways, so turning off JavaScript support will not only save on bandwidth, but on processing time by your BlackBerry.
